What is Going East Asia?
Web2Asia is conducting the worldwide first survey of its kind with the most up to date research into the expansion status quo and the expansion
plans of Internet, gaming and eCommerce companies to East Asia.
The Going East Asia expansion survey is an initiative that aims to delve deeper into the opportunities and challenges startups and established companies face and anticipate when "going Asian". The
survey seeks to identify the type of interactive media enterprises that want to expand to East Asia and their motivation and expectations from their engagement.
Time schedule
- October 14th 2008: Official announcement and kick-off during the first pan-Asian Internet conference - the Open Web Asia '08 in
Seoul/Korea. Survey will then be accessible till November 28th 2008.
- November 14th 2008: Presentation of first key results during China 2.0 Blogger Tour in Shanghai featuring Robert Scoble, Shel Israel, Sam Lawrence and many more.
The survey seeks to ...
- characterize operations with regard to qualitative and quantitative features
- evaluate East Asia's attractiveness and potential for interactive media companies
- discover the degree to which interactive media companies are considering East Asia in their global strategy
- identify obstacles and challenges that interactive media companies face or expect to face within the East Asian business environment
- derive and identify success factors for interactive media companies in East Asia by analyzing the experience of companies that already expanded to this region
Format
The online survey will be conducted worldwide among enterprises in the interactive media field such as Web 2.0, gaming, mobile & eCommerce.
